Distributors & agents

How do I buy COTFIX dyes,
or become a distributor or agent?

Nuchem Dyestuffs (P) Ltd. is a manufacturer and exporter of COTFIX® reactive dyes, based in Gujarat, India. It is a manufacturer, not a trading house or a stockist, so there are two ways to work with it. A buyer can source direct from the maker, and a company that already sells textiles or textile chemicals can discuss representing Nuchem in its own market. Both routes begin with the same enquiry form and are handled by the sales team. Sending an enquiry starts a conversation: it does not appoint a distributor, it does not grant an exclusive territory, and it does not reserve a market for anyone. Product suitability and chemical-input approval are checked separately for every selected grade.

Which grade carries which approval record is a per-product question. Check the approval evidence before you name a grade in a buyer's file.

Which of the two routes is mine?

The two conversations are different, and it saves time to pick the right one before writing.

Route 1 — buying
I want to buy COTFIX reactive dyes

You are a mill, a processor, a garment-washing unit or a trader looking for a reactive-dye supplier, and you would rather deal with the manufacturer than through a middleman. Nuchem handles domestic and export enquiries directly from its head office in Ahmedabad and its Ludhiana regional office.

Include in your enquiry: the target shade, the fibre or substrate, the dyeing, printing or cold-pad-batch process you run, the COTFIX series or grade you are considering, any buyer scheme the order has to satisfy, and the destination market for an export order.

What comes back: a quote, a sample, a shade match or a shade card, prepared for the named grade and the named process rather than for a series in general. Where a grade carries an approval record, the dated record that matches it can be supplied.

Route 2 — representing
I want to represent Nuchem in my market

You supply textile mills, dyehouses or chemical distributors already, or you can build that coverage in a territory Nuchem does not yet reach well. You want to know what a distribution or agency arrangement would involve.

Include in your enquiry: your company and where it is registered, the territory you are proposing, the textile applications and customer types you already serve, the COTFIX ranges you would carry, and whether you hold storage or laboratory capability.

How it is assessed: individually. There is no published minimum volume and no standard package, because what suits one market does not suit another. Roles, available support and commercial terms are discussed case by case, and coverage of a country today does not mean the country is closed to a new conversation.

What would a distributor or agent actually be carrying?

Nuchem manufactures COTFIX® reactive dyes for cotton, viscose and other cellulosic fibres across eight series: VS, ME, HE, RGB, D, RR, Reactive Blacks and H/P Printing. The published catalogue covers 58 rows with grade-level solubility and fastness values, so a partner can answer technical questions about a named grade instead of talking about a range in the abstract. Manufacturing runs at Unit 1, Sayakha (Bharuch) and Unit 2, Vatva (Ahmedabad), with in-house laboratories at both plants. The Sayakha site operates at 100% zero liquid discharge, using an MVR and ATFD train rated at 53 kilolitres per day — a plant-level fact about that factory, which is a different thing from a product approval.

On approvals, the records are separate and carry their own scopes: 24 named COTFIX colourants appear in the official GOTS approved-inputs directory; ECO PASSPORT certificate 21.0.64039 covers 55 named products and is recorded as valid until 30 June 2027; and 34 active products were checked at ZDHC MRSL v3.1 Level 3 conformance through the Gateway on 28 September 2026. These are three different schemes with three different scopes, and none of them may be presented as one combined certificate. A series name is never a whole-range approval.

Where does Nuchem sell today?

Domestic clusters

Nuchem serves domestic textile clusters including Surat, Tirupur, Panipat, Jetpur, Pali-Balotra, Jaipur, Delhi, Kolkata and Ludhiana, supplying reactive dyes for cotton and cellulosic processing. The head office is in Ahmedabad and there is a regional office in Ludhiana.

Export markets

Export markets served by Nuchem include Bangladesh, Turkey, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Egypt and Uzbekistan, together with Europe and North and South America.

That list is not a closed register, and a country missing from it is not a country Nuchem has ruled out. Marketing coverage does not establish an appointed distributor or an open exclusive territory, and the territories, roles and support that exist are confirmed individually with each partner. If your market is not named above, say so in the enquiry and it will be considered on the same basis as any other.

How does the conversation start?

Everything begins with a written enquiry, because both routes need details before anything useful can be said. On the contact form, select “Agent / distributor” as your customer type and “Distribution / agency partnership” as the reason for writing if you are enquiring about representing Nuchem. If you are buying, state the grade, the process and the shade instead, and the same form reaches the sales team. Written requests sent through the form go directly to sales rather than to a general inbox, and the more precise the first message, the more precise the answer.

Sales contacts, current territories and sample availability are confirmed individually for each enquiry, including enquiries from markets where Nuchem has no established presence. For an export order, note the destination market and the documentation the buyer's own customers require, since the paperwork is prepared for the order rather than issued generically. Certificate copies, grade-specific conditions and safety data are supplied on request; private documents are not published on the website, and a request through the form is how they are obtained.

Distributor and agent questions, answered

Is Nuchem a manufacturer or a distributor?

A manufacturer. Nuchem Dyestuffs (P) Ltd. makes COTFIX® reactive dyes at its own plants in Gujarat and exports them. It is not a trading house, so a buyer can go straight to the maker.

Can I buy directly from Nuchem, or must I use an agent?

You can enquire directly. Nuchem handles domestic and export enquiries itself, and enquiries from anywhere are answered on their merits.

How do I become a distributor or agent?

Write through the contact form and describe your company, territory, applications and the ranges you would carry. Each enquiry is assessed individually, and there is no published checklist to clear first.

Will I get an exclusive territory?

Nothing on this website promises exclusivity, and an enquiry does not create it. Territorial arrangements, if any, are discussed and agreed individually with each partner.

Does Nuchem already have an agent in my country?

Coverage varies by market and is not published as a directory, because the picture changes. Ask through the form and you will get a straight answer for your country.

Can a distributor supply approval documents?

The documents belong to the grade, not to the channel. Check the certifications page for what exists, then request the dated record that matches the grade you are supplying.

Tell us which route you are on.

One form covers both. Say whether you are buying or proposing to represent Nuchem, give the grade, process and market, and the sales team will take it from there. Nothing is appointed, reserved or promised until both sides have agreed it in writing.
