All four grades are listed at 100 g/L solubility at 30°C. Dry rubbing fastness reads 4-5 for Yellow RGB, Blue RGB and Navy Blue RGB, and 4 for Red RGB, while wet rubbing is 3-4 across the four grades. Light fastness reaches 5 for Yellow RGB and 4 for the other three grades. Dischargeability is mixed: Yellow RGB is partially dischargeable, Red RGB is not dischargeable, and Blue RGB and Navy Blue RGB are dischargeable. Compare D Series (Dark) for deep-shade selection and RR Series for very light and medium shades; RGB Series covers the warm-dyeing middle of the COTFIX range and keeps the build-up even across a three- or four-component shade. Assess any required colour match under the intended viewing conditions, and confirm the exact grade and strength variant, together with the process conditions, before a recipe is changed.
How is COTFIX RGB Series consistency held, lot after lot?
Fastness figures are only worth as much as the reproducibility behind the dye lot. Nuchem describes a three-point quality check, laboratory support and production-lot records for manufactured COTFIX lots. For a warm-dyeing RGB grade, lot-to-lot reproducibility matters because a shade is often built from three or four components, and each component must stay on target. Public checks agree: the 28 September 2026 Gateway review verified 34 active COTFIX products at Control Union Level 3, and OEKO-TEX ECO PASSPORT certificate 21.0.64039 covers 55 COTFIX products.

Four QC laboratories operate at the Ahmedabad head office, the Ludhiana regional office, and both the Sayakha and Vatva factories in Gujarat.

Does COTFIX RGB Series approval cover Nuchem's factory water treatment?
Nuchem's published water-treatment approach is described in full on the sustainability page. At the Sayakha plant in Bharuch, Gujarat, the operation runs at 100% zero liquid discharge (ZLD), so no liquid process effluent leaves the site. The MVR and ATFD train is rated at 53 kilolitres per day (KLD). Condensate recovered through the train is recycled back into the manufacturing process, and the dried sludge goes to Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) approved Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facility (TSDF) sites. These figures describe the Sayakha plant only, and should not be read across to the Vatva plant in Ahmedabad.
A COTFIX RGB Series grade is a chemical-product record, so product approval does not certify a factory's water-treatment performance. Cold pad batch, one of the published RGB applications, uses a padding route rather than a long exhaust bath. For supply-chain review, separate the manufacturing-site evidence from the approval and conformance documents for the exact chemical grade.
